Introduction to Academic Affairs

The curriculum and requirements for getting degrees of UNIST Graduate School of
Semiconductor Materials and Devices Engineering are as described below.
  • Master’s Course
    Credits to complete for graduation: 28 credits (Course credits: 18 credits, Research credits: 10 credits)
    Commonly required courses: Completion of seminars for at least 2 semesters
    Required major courses: 2 courses (Field Experience based Semiconductor Process, Semiconductor Processing and Device Lab)
    Requirement for graduation: At least one conference presentation or a paper accepted for publication in an SCI or SCI-E journal as the first author is required
  • Doctor’s Course
    Credits to complete for graduation: 60 credits (Course credits: 12 credits, Research credits; 48 credits)
    Commonly required courses: Completion of seminars for at least 2 semesters
    Required major courses: 2 courses (Field Experience based Semiconductor Process, Semiconductor Processing and Device Lab)
    Requirement for graduation: At least one paper accepted for publication in an SCI or SCI-E journal as the first author
  • Integrated Course for Master and Ph.D
    Training of key personnel in semiconductor industry through customized curriculum in the Master’s and Doctor’s course
    Credits to complete for graduation: 60 credits (Course credits: 24 credits, Research credits; 36 credits)
    Commonly required courses: Completion of seminars for at least 2 semesters
    Required major courses: 2 courses (Field Experience based Semiconductor Process, Semiconductor Processing and Device Lab)
    Requirement for graduation: At least one paper accepted for publication in an SCI or SCI-E journal as the first author
